Opportunity for Artists to Join the České Budějovice 2028 Programme

The 2028 European Capital of Culture, České Budějovice in the Czech Republic, announces an international Open Call, inviting artists from around the world to become part of the České Budějovice 2028 artistic programme. The programme is guided by the concept of (Perma)culture, reflected in three core principles – Care, Connect, and Create.

The call aims to foster new international collaborations, strengthen the local cultural scene, support the development of the creative sector, enhance tourism opportunities, and promote the city.

The Open Call will support high-quality cultural projects with an international dimension, expanding the České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028 programme with unique experiences for residents and visitors of České Budějovice and the South Bohemia region.

Funding and Conditions

• Application deadline: 10 July 2026
• Projects can be submitted by legal entities from anywhere in the world
• The number of projects supported and the total funding available under the 2026 Open Call are not fixed in advance; both will depend on the quantity and quality of applications received
