Highlights from the 4th Community Program Meeting

On January 24 the 4th Community Program meeting was held at the Tipogrāfija Creative Quarter, bringing together active and engaged participants from Liepāja, South Kurzeme, and Kuldīga municipalities.
During the meeting, a brainstorming session led by Ieva Niedre encouraged participants to explore and discuss potential project ideas. This was followed by an inspiring presentation from Kristīne Liepiņa of the Education Initiatives Center, who shared stories from the Latgale project “Active Communities”—highlighting both achievements and challenges, along with practical examples and recommendations.
Participants also learned about the project idea competition guidelines and, to conclude the meeting, took part in a hands-on workshop on project budgeting and idea implementation, where they gained valuable tips and examples.
The Community Program is a platform designed to empower residents with new knowledge and skills in community art methodologies, enabling the creation of stronger, more united, and more creative neighborhoods.
We would like to highlight the enthusiasm and dedication of all participants in working toward improving their environment. Together, we can achieve great things!
The meetings will continue until June 2025.
The programme “City Neighbours” is organized by the “Liepāja 2027” Foundation and made possible through the support of the City of Liepāja, South Kurzeme Municipality, Kuldīga Municipality, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia and British Council Latvia.
