We are thrilled and with great responsibility making preparations for the 3rd of May, when the International Jury will visit Liepāja to assess the city’s potential to become the European Capital of Culture 2027, which we very much look forward to.
Throughout the day, the jury members, together with their colleagues from the Ministry of Culture, will meet with representatives from different local and regional sectors, explore the peculiar charm of our city, visiting the most characteristic locations of Liepāja and assess how ready we are to win the potential title!
Fingers crossed that together we will succeed to illustrate the wide and diverse perspectives of Liepāja during the jury visit!
On the 9th of May at the National Library of Latvia all three candidate cities – Liepāja, Daugavpils and Valmiera – will defend their Bid Book applications in person and the next day we will find out the results!
