Awakening the earth after its winter sleep, awakening the sleeper after a refreshing night’s rest, awakening the thinker from his metaphysical slumber. But what does it mean to awake in a democracy? Do we already have a clear vision of what it means to live in a democratic society, or do we aspire to “awaken from the democracy dream”?
We invite you to Kuldīga Art House, at the 1905 gada Street 6, on 4 May at 18.00 to talk about our awakening in the Democracy Café – we will focus on the awakening in the broadest sense of the word.
“Democracy Café” is a discussion evening that has been organised in Kuldīga for the fifth year now and, as usual, it involves talks and discussions at café tables with previously undisclosed counterparts, hosted by secret guests, on subjects that are not known in advance.
Organised by the Kurzeme NGO Centre in cooperation with the foundation “Democracy Foundation”.
