Visitors to the “Balttour 2026” Tourism Exhibition Explore the Offerings of Liepāja 2027
From 6 to 8 February, the leading Baltic tourism exhibition “Balttour 2026” took place at the Ķīpsala Exhibition Hall, bringing together industry professionals and travel enthusiasts in one place. The event provided insight into the latest travel trends and inspired visitors to discover new destinations.
The exhibition featured representatives from 27 countries, 310 companies, and more than 5,000 industry professionals. Among them were the Liepāja Region Tourism Information Centre (Liepāja Travel), the Kurzeme Tourism Association (Visit Kurzeme), and the Liepāja 2027 Foundation, which offered visitors the opportunity to explore the region’s diverse tourism offerings and gain a glimpse of the events planned as part of the Liepāja 2027 programme.
Visitors had the chance not only to plan their future trips but also to establish new business contacts at the networking fair and receive practical advice and recommendations from tourism experts.

More than 500 events planned in the Liepāja 2027 programme
On Wednesday, 4 February, the fifth meeting of the Liepāja 2027 Supervisory Board took place at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia, where key issues regarding the progress, achievements and next steps of the European Capital of Culture programme were discussed.
Rock the Rock: Open Call for Co-Financing Projects to Shape Liepāja 2027
The Liepāja 2027 Foundation (Liepāja 2027) has announced an open co-financing competition for projects that would add a spark to the core Liepāja 2027 programme series “Rock the Rock” in 2027. Applications must be submitted by 7 April 2026.
