Liepāja Spring Restaurant Week – Taste Liepāja!
Creative chef experiments, spring-inspired flavors, and special menus created exclusively for this occasion – Liepāja Spring Restaurant Week will take place from April 10 to April 19.
On October 3, the first of two sold-out “Rock and Organ for Liepāja” concerts took place at Liepāja Lutheran Church. The audience enjoyed a unique mix of classical music, world rock classics, and Liepāja rock legends’ greatest hits, with organ sounds blending seamlessly with guitars and vibrant lights.
The concert featured legendary rock compositions by “Pink Floyd”, “The Rolling Stones”, “The Animals”, “Queen”, and “Deep Purple”, alongside iconic songs by Latvian rock groups. As the rock capital of Latvia, Liepāja will be represented with music by “Pērkons”, “Līvi”, “Liepājas Brāļi”, and excerpts from Zigmars Liepiņš’s rock opera “Lāčplēsis”. A special highlight was a brand-new arrangement of the iconic “Līvi” song “Ozolam” (music by Ainars Virga and Guntars Račs), selected by Liepāja’s audience through a public vote. The arrangement was created by Jana Zariņa.
The concert was organized by “Baringtons K2” in collaboration with “Okoncert”, with financial support from the “Liepāja 2027” Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia as part of the “Rokam roku” program.
