To ensure the most efficient functioning of the European Capital of Culture 2027 website, a public tender has been announced for the development and implementation of the design and functionality concept of the project “Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027” website www.liepaja2027.lv.
The main objective of the new website is to create an easy-to-use, user-friendly, and functional platform that effectively informs and engages both local and international audiences in the diverse activities of the European Capital of Culture 2027. The current website is representative and requires various technical improvements and user-centric solutions, therefore the main task is to develop a new website www.liepaja2027.lv with a modern design, structure, and functionality, integrate an online shop and create a calendar connected to the ticketing service.
The development of the website necessitates an open-source solution, fostering long-term sustainability and adaptability for the continued improvements.
Developers are expected to deliver a public interface for universal access and an administration interface for efficient management. The web design, aligned with the project identity, must be original, adaptive to diverse screen resolutions, and prioritize user experience. The interface should enable users to seamlessly select services or activities, emphasizing functionality, clarity of navigation, speed, and performance.
Sustainability of the website is a key focus, demanding a flexible structure for ongoing improvements, all of which must be addressed when developing a website.
Developers are responsible for the necessary infrastructure, server support during development and testing, and providing parameters for purchasing hosting services for the www.liepaja2027.lv website.
Bids will be evaluated by the Foundation “Liepaja 2027” Procurement Committee. The detailed tender requirements and information on the project “Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027” website design and functionality concept are available at www.eis.gov.lv
