Liepaja Music, Art and Design Secondary School Becomes the First Trinity College London Examination Centre in the Baltic States

Liepaja Music, Art and Design Secondary School (LMMDV) has been recognized as competent and well-equipped for conducting music examinations and has become the first certified Trinity College London examination centre in the Baltic States.
Trinity College London (TCL) is an international examination organization that offers exams (either digitally at a nearby examination centre or in person in the United Kingdom) to obtain certificates confirming one’s level of expertise in a chosen specialty. The acquired certificate serves as an internationally recognized qualification, acknowledged by higher education institutions and as a significant asset for starting a professional career in the field.
“For several years, extensive and thoughtful work has been invested to establish Liepaja Music, Art and Design Secondary School as the only educational institution in the Baltic States to have gained the status of a Trinity College London examination centre. I encourage our school’s students and those from other schools to make use of this opportunity to receive an internationally recognized certificate in various music specialties, which opens up further possibilities for successful admission to music universities in Western Europe,” invites LMMDV Director Inga Auziņa.
Exams are available in academic and jazz music specialties (piano, electronic keyboard, vocal music, string instruments, woodwind and brass instruments, jazz woodwind, guitar, percussion, music theory) as well as in rock and pop music specialties (bass guitar, electric guitar, vocals, electronic keyboard, and drums).
Exams can be taken at several levels, ranging from the introductory (Initial) to Grade 8, as well as higher levels corresponding to the first-year university and bachelor’s degree standards. There is no specified age or grade requirement for taking the exams; each person’s level is determined by their ability to master the required repertoire. Each level of the exam has an associated fee, determined by Trinity College London and the LMMDV examination centre.
