Liepāja 2027 Heads to Tallinn Music Week 2026

2. April, 2026

On 11 April, Liepāja 2027 will take to the stage at Tallinn Music Week 2026’s City Stage to present the concept of Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027: (un)rest. Joining the Liepāja2027 will be singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer SHIPSEA, alongside the folk-rock ensemble Alum Alu – two acts that together reveal the paradoxes of Liepāja: the tranquillity of its seaside, the energy of its northern winds, and the restless creative impulses.

Liepāja 2027 City Stage programme:

  • 15:00 – SHIPSEA (Liepāja / Latvia)
Singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer with a distinctive voice and layered sound, where stillness, tension and movement meet – a musical reflection of Liepāja’s (un)rest.
  • 15:45 – “Alum Alu” (Latvia)
An energetic nomad folk-rock collective from Latvia blending Balkan and Romani folk influences with rock energy. Since 2020, the band has become one of the most vibrant names on the alternative scene, with their 2023 debut album reaching No.1 in Latvia’s alternative music charts.

See you in Tallinn!
