During a working visit, the Ambassador of Japan to Latvia paid a visit to the Liepāja 2027 office
On Wednesday, November 12, the Ambassador of Japan to Latvia, Mr. Kensuke Yoshida, visited the Liepāja 2027 office as part of a working visit.
The purpose of the meeting was to gain a deeper understanding of the Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027 programme and to discuss projects that envisage cooperation with Japanese artists and cultural organizations.
We highly appreciate that Japanese culture will be represented within project clusters such as “World of Images”, “Moving Horizons”, and others. These initiatives will provide an opportunity to explore the shared values and challenges of both cultures – including their rich handicraft traditions, choral music, and life by the sea.
By strengthening our partnership with the Embassy of Japan in Latvia, we look forward to an inspiring exchange of ideas and creative collaboration with our colleagues from Japan.
