In celebration of Liepāja’s 400th anniversary, the Foundation “Liepāja 2027” (Liepāja 2027) invites individuals to join its volunteer team, offering a unique chance to everyone to co-create the events and shape the city’s milestone festivities.
This is more than just an invitation—it is an opportunity to leave an indelible mark on an event that will echo through the city’s history for generations to come.
Becoming a volunteer with Liepāja 2027 means stepping into the heart of the celebration, gaining hands-on experience in cultural event organization, and aligning oneself with a dynamic environment where creativity and enthusiasm fuel the spirit of the occasion.
Volunteers will not only play a vital role in making the festivities a resounding success but will also forge meaningful connections, develop invaluable skills and working experience, and contribute to an event of lasting significance for Liepāja as part of one dedicated and motivated team where each member is a key.
As part of the 400th anniversary team, volunteers will be entrusted with various essential tasks—from welcoming guests and ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere to coordinating interactive workshops, guiding visitors through event spaces, managing entry points, distributing information, and capturing valuable insights into guests’ experiences. Every contribution counts!

Open to individuals aged 13 and above, this experience welcomes both experienced volunteers and those stepping into this role for the first time.
