The online seminar will examine the economic impact of the European Capital of Culture

On Tuesday, 3 March, from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm, a seminar titled “Is Culture Quantifiable? Economics of Liepāja 2027” will take place on the online platform Zoom.
The seminar will be opened by Inta Šoriņa, Chair of the Board of Liepāja 2027, followed by an introductory presentation, “Vision, Expectations and Benchmarks,” delivered by Liepāja 2027 Monitoring Coordinator Ieva Šterna. Ph.D. Igor Mavrin from the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek (Croatia) will present a hybrid impact measurement model and the development of a KPI system for evaluating economic, social and international impact, while Dr. oec. Ieva Zemīte from the Latvian Academy of Culture will introduce value assessment using the Social Return on Investment (SROI) approach.
