Grand Concert “Rock for Freedom”

The grand concert “Rock for Freedom” will take place on the evening of July 5, 2025, at the Skrunda Hillfort open-air stage in Kuldīga Municipality.

It will bring together Latvia’s most powerful and dynamic rock musicians. Rock events are not new to Skrunda – rock traditions have lived on here in the past. A concert under the same name was held in 2015, marking 20 years since Latvian musicians first united on the Skrunda stage in song to oppose militarism and the Skrunda radar station, capturing the rebellious spirit of society at that time.

Back then, the Skrunda Municipal Festival carried the motto “Alive, Independent and Free!”, and the central event was also the “Rock for Freedom” concert. Reviving these rock traditions, the second grand concert “Rock for Freedom” will take place at the Skrunda open-air stage.

The event is organized by the production company “Art Management Group” in collaboration with the Skrunda Town and Parish Administration. The organizers firmly believe that Latvian rock music is an inseparable part of Latvia’s cultural heritage. This will be the perfect event to feel the spirit and joy of freedom!

The event will also feature a daytime program – meet-and-greets with the musicians, participation of various local businesses, workshops, children’s activities, and more.

Admission is free for children up to 7 years of age. Tickets for the grand concert are available at “Biļešu Paradīze” ticket outlets.

The concert is organized with the financial support of the “Liepāja 2027” Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia within the framework of the “Rock the Rock” project competition.
