Nine New Projects Join the Liepāja 2027 Programme

The Liepāja 2027 Foundation has concluded its co-funding competition for cultural events that will become part of the “Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027” programme. Of the 27 project proposals submitted, nine have been selected for support, with a total of 352,793 euros allocated for their implementation.

Liepāja 2027 Invites Communities to Apply for the “Neighbourliness” Project Competition

The Liepāja 2027 Foundation has opened a call for project proposals under the “Neighbourliness” community programme, summoning residential associations, foundations and small businesses across Liepāja, Kuldīga and South Kurzeme to put forward ideas that bring communities together. The selected projects will become part of the official Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027 programme. Application period: 13 August – 14 September, 2026.

On Saturday, August 29, in Vārme Parish, Kuldīga Municipality, as part of the “Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027” programme, a guided walk will take place in the Polīši Ravines — a place where the calm and energy of nature meet along forest trails, steep sandstone outcrops, and the lively flow of the Šķēde River.
