The proposals will be useful both now, while planning different cultural events, and in the future to get to know the people living in each neighbourhood even better.
This year, the national turnout was critically low, for example, in Liepāja, only 28.84% of the eligible population voted in the municipal elections.
One of Liepāja’s strategic goals with its participation in the European Capital of Culture 2027 competition is to implement new processes for the cultural, artistic and creative industries and boost the public engagement.
On Thursday, May 20, members of the Liepāja City Council approved a decision on support of submitting the Liepāja European Capital of Culture application for the 1st round of the 2027 competition for the European Capital of Culture.
