To celebrate the summer solstice, a special night event for young people – “Ravegrieži” – will take place in Kuldīga

As a result of the Liepāja 2027 Youth Pilot Project idea competition, a unique solstice night event called Ravegrieži will take place on June 20, the eve of the Līgo festival, in the heart of Kuldīga – at the hangar on Piltenes Street 25a.
The event invites young people and all midsummer celebrators to an energetic evening filled with light, music, and movement. The event will run from 21:00 to 02:00, offering a one-of-a-kind experience in the spirit of the summer solstice.
The event concept was developed by the team from the Kuldīga youth organization “Sprādziens”. It is designed as an evening event tailored for a youth audience, where the symbolism of traditional solstice celebrations meets electronic music. The venue – an industrial hangar – creates a striking contrast between cultural festivity traditions and a modern, informal setting.
The program includes performances by three DJs – Aniri Chan, El Harmony, and Existal – who will take the audience on a musical journey from calm rhythms to explosive energy. Visitors can also enjoy a themed contest with prizes, as well as a chill and food zone for relaxing or enjoying local flavors.
Tickets are available online at www.bilesuparadize.lv and will also be sold at the venue. To honor traditions and foster a special atmosphere, free entry will be granted to those arriving in national costume or celebrating their birthday on June 20. The event is intended for youth aged 16 and up.
Ravegrieži is open to everyone who wants to kick off the summer in an active, positive, and creative way, while experiencing a modern celebration of the solstice – youth-style.
The event is part of the “Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027” Youth Pilot Project, supported by the Liepāja 2027 Foundation. It is implemented in cooperation with the Development Platform YOU+, “Izgaismo ideju” from South Kurzeme, and Kuldīga youth organization “Sprādziens”.
The event is also supported by several local businesses and organizations, including Banketi No.1, SIA AMAZONE, Darīsim paši!, and SIA Vēvers.
