Liepāja Blossoms. Seed Distribution Event. Liepāja

To inspire the local community to create a greener, more colourful city, the Foundation “Liepāja 2027” invites all Liepāja residents to take part in the “Liepāja Blossoms” campaign.

In honour of the city’s 400th anniversary, this initiative encourages everyone to participate in planting, exchanging seedlings, and other greening activities, bringing life and colour to the urban environment.

The campaign launches on Saturday, 8 March, from 10:00 to 14:00 at Liepāja Peter’s Market, where visitors can collect flower seeds and receive practical advice on plant care by stopping at the “Liepāja 2027” stand.

Participants are encouraged to plant and nurture the seeds in their own backyards and neighbourhoods or bring their seedlings to the plant exchange event in May.

The event will be hosted by Rūta Dvinska, the host of the show Zaļie pirkstiņi.

The activity is organized in collaboration with the Liepāja City Municipality institutions, Liepāja Peter’s Market, LUX Express, and the State Forests of Latvia as part of the Forest Days event. The campaign is organized by the Foundation “Liepāja 2027” with funding provided by the Liepāja City Municipality and the Ministry of Culture.
