The 2025 Liepāja City Municipality calendar has been unveiled, featuring works by 12 artists spanning generations, each capturing the diverse spirit and rich heritage of the city in honour of its 400th anniversary.
Next year marks a significant milestone for Liepāja – a celebration of 400 years that bridges the city’s storied past with its present and future. To commemorate this landmark, the calendar was designed in collaboration with local artists, who drew inspiration from the city’s history, architecture, natural landscapes, and its people. The result is a visually captivating collection that showcases the heart of Liepāja.
Featured artists and their works include: Uldis Rubezis: “Still Life in the Studio”, Ivonna Kalita: “Waiting for a Friend”, Aldis Kļaviņš: “Liepāja. Port Motif”, Dainis Bērziņš: “Dunes in April”, Agnese Kaupere: “Closer”, Pauls Spridzāns: “Evening”, Aivars Kleins: “Rose Square”, Vilnis Bulavs: “A Moment More”, Jānis Judins: “Late Autumn in Liepāja”, Patrīcija Krūmiņa: “Blow, Blow!”, Marta Toode-Pusaudze: “Taking for a Look at the Storm!”, Līga Ķempe: “Being: or: Existence”.
The calendar is a perfect gift for friends, family, or yourself, serving as a daily reminder of Liepaja’s creativity and charm. Available for purchase at the Liepāja Region Tourism Information Office (5/6 Rožu laukums, Liepāja), the calendar comes in several formats.
There are two wall formats, one in 420×594 mm (€13) and another, which is a three-part wall calendar with a box: 297×210 mm, folded (€16). There is also a desk calendar in 205×148 mm (€5).
The calendar concept was developed and published by the Liepāja Central Administration, with the design created by the design studio H2E.
