
Liepāja residents make camouflage nets for Ukraine at the Liepāja Museum

Liepāja Museum is bustling with the campaign “You can help Ukraine! Camouflage nets. Take part, don’t stand aside!”.
From today, the campaign to make camouflage nets has started.
For three days in the museum garden everyone is welcome to join in.
The activity will take place today (Thursday) until 1900, Friday, 25 March from 16:00 to 19:00, Saturday, 26 March from 12:00 to 15:00

Fabrics, stencils for making camouflage nets will be provided during the campaign. Everyone is also welcome to check the fabric/textile resources available at home. Please make sure that synthetic fabrics and fabrics that reflect light and shine in the sunlight are not used in the net.
If possible, we ask you to supply fabric pieces measuring 4cm x 30/35 cm in advance of your appearance at the campaign.

The Liepāja 2027 Foundation is opening applications for an international youth training and mentoring programme for the 2025/2026 academic year, aimed at young people aged 14 to 24 from Liepāja, South Kurzeme and Kuldīga.

On 9 September 2025 at 14:00, the Liepāja 2027 Foundation opens its doors at Dārza Street 4/8 and welcomes all to the masterclass “Eco-design in Events” led by researcher Kitija Balcare, Ph.D. (c.), who will guide us through the art of designing with responsibility.
