“We are launching this call of the Community Programme with a networking event that brings together people who want to develop their communities, share experiences, gain new ideas, and build collaborations. As participants from previous calls have noted, it is not only ideas and resources that matter, but also people, mutual support, and the chance to learn from mentors, industry professionals, and one another. We have seen new friendships and partnerships form, as participants of the Community Programme are visiting each other and organizing joint events. This networking event is an opportunity to build these connections and uncover new possibilities for collaboration,” says Public Participation Project Coordinator Andra Strautiņa.

In the new Liepāja 2027 Community Strengthening and Support Programme cycle, special attention will be paid to cooperation among communities and the exchange of practical experiences. Programme participants will have the opportunity to take part in an idea-generation hackathon and five practical training workshops, receive individual mentoring support, and participate in community networking events. The programme will also feature a microgrant project competition, through which participants can secure funding to organize their cultural events on Europe Day – May 9, 2027.

Following the event, applications for the Liepāja 2027 Community Programme 2026./2027. will open, inviting active residents and community representatives from the Liepāja, South Kurzeme, and Kuldīga regions to join the new programme round.
