Riga International Film Festival in Liepāja

In 2027, the Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) is heading over to Liepāja, bringing along a vivid, eclectic film selection that encourages filmgoers to view the world from a few unexpected angles. The festival in Liepāja will showcase newest additions in European and international cinema while fostering dialogues between audiences and movie industry professionals.

From 21 to 24 October, carefully picked film screenings with opening remarks from the directors and industry experts are making headlines in local cinemas. The programme also offers public debates and panel meetings, giving cinephiles a rare peek behind the scenes to see how the magic actually gets made.

Bringing the festival to Liepāja and the South Kurzeme region shines a bright spotlight on the area as a prime location for future film shoots and international movie co-productions.
