“Aizpute Old Town – A Meeting Place”, organised by the Aizpute Renaissance Society, invites all to explore Aizpute in a more personal and relaxed way. It offers the chance not only to walk through the old town’s streets, but also to step into courtyards and historic houses, meet their owners and hear the stories that shape the town’s atmosphere.
The project also looks at the theme of (un)rest through local stories, showing the old town as a place where change, memory and fellowship meet. Information on events is available in English.
On 1 May 2027, visitors are invited to the Aizpute Old Town Festival. The project also includes two Open Courtyards events and three Afternoon Tea gatherings in historic houses, giving people the chance to experience the old town through direct encounters and conversation.
