“Becoming Liepājnieks?” is an audio walk that introduces listeners to Liepāja’s alternative music and cultural scene – underground and above ground, in mainstream and unconventional venues, through the voices and experiences of local artists and on the city’s streets.
The walk offers a way to explore the city, visit well‑known and lesser‑known cultural spaces, and meet the people behind its stories. Through urban legends and artists’ accounts, Liepāja shows us its different side, demonstrating what it means to live and create here.
The multimedia guide is free to use at any time. The walkthrough is accompanied by the special radio broadcast, sharing sounds and stories that usually remain hidden.
In spring 2027, the experience will expand with performances and guided walks alongside artists and musicians.
