On Friday, 20 March, the final workshop of the Liepāja 2027 community programme “Neighbourliness”, titled “A Community Story for the World”, took place in Aizpute.
The session was led by documentary filmmaker Helēna Zīlīte, who introduced participants to the fundamental principles of storytelling and demonstrated how to effectively convey these through video. The workshop aimed to teach participants how to present their community’s values, experiences, and ideas in a structured and engaging way for a wider audience.
Throughout the programme, participants work on their community projects. This experience will help them clarify and strengthen their event ideas, so that on 17 and 18 April they can come together at the ideas hackathon to create initiatives that will support communities and promote the development of local neighbourhoods.
The programme is organised by the Liepāja 2027 Foundation in cooperation with the Liepāja City Municipality, the South Kurzeme and Kuldīga municipalities, and with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia in the amount of €54,480. The project is supported by JSC “CleanR Grupa” as the primary partner for environmental education and sustainability, and by the mobility partner, the transportation company “Lux Express Latvia” Ltd.
