The “Skill Market” is structured around three strands:
- “Master in Class” – focused training sessions led by master craftsmen;
- “Skills Laboratory” – open to public practical workshops, offering opportunities to learn new skills or deepen existing ones, whether for personal interest or professional growth;
- (Co-)workshop – an environment for creative cross-sector exchange, bringing together different crafts and industries to generate new ideas, products and practices, with shared experiences during the Līva Village Festival.
The aim of the project is to establish a lasting skills exchange platform that not only safeguards traditional crafts but also enables their renewal and relevance in the 21st century, creating new opportunities for craftsmen and fosters a public understanding of craft as a living cultural practice.
