Panel Discussion “Volunteering and EU Projects as a Career Start: Young People’s Experience in Europe”
25-02-2026 | 18:00
What can the beginning of a career look like when it develops outside the usual environment — in another country, in an international team, and within a new cultural setting? This panel discussion is dedicated to exploring how volunteering and participation in European Union projects can become an important stepping stone in young people’s professional and personal growth.
The event will feature young people with experience in the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) and other international projects. In a moderated discussion, participants will share personal stories about how international experience has helped them build self-confidence, develop communication and cooperation skills, strengthen teamwork abilities, and better understand their interests and future career direction. The discussion will also address challenges, adapting to a new environment, and the valuable lessons gained through intercultural experience.
The event is intended for young people aged 17 to 30, but anyone interested is welcome to attend. At the end of the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and join the conversation. The aim of the panel discussion is to inspire young people to see international opportunities as a real and attainable step toward their professional development.
