New Works Created During the "Art?! In Streets and Courtyards" Festival

At the beginning of the week, the "Art?! In Streets and Courtyards" festival took place at the cultural venue "Pegaza Pagalms." On the first day of the festival, attendees learned the basic principles of street art with lecturer and DJ, artist Rihards Bražinskis. In a discussion with Liepāja municipal artist Agita Ansule, artist Uldis Rubezis, and State Police representative Mārtiņš Brižis, topics of interest to the people of Liepāja were addressed, including support for street artists from the municipality, prevention of vandalism in the city, penalties, and more.

Together with artist Dainis Rudens, participants had the opportunity to express their creativity over both days. At the end of the first day, anyone interested could create a shopping bag using stencil techniques. On the following day, July 30, four talented young people participated in a masterclass with Dainis Rudens. Throughout the day, the creative process was on display at Pegaza Pagalms, resulting in four street art pieces on an improvised wall, and the young artists left their creative "imprint" on one of the courtyard walls.
