His work is deeply rooted in sacred music and early music traditions. Dubra&rsquo;s compositions embody profound spirituality, a meditative atmosphere, and a strong sense of the passage of time. This concert will feature the world premiere of his quartet Les passions d&rsquo;&eacute;t&eacute; (&ldquo;Summer Passions&rdquo;)<\/p><p>Olivier Messiaen&rsquo;s Quartet of the End of Time, composed as a prisoner during the Second World War, is one of the most powerful spiritual works of the 20th century. It does not depict time&mdash;it transcends it. It is a prayer, a vision, and an answer to silence.<\/p><p>The South Kurzeme Festival &ldquo;Rimbenieks&rdquo; is implemented within the framework of the &ldquo;Liep&#257;ja 2027&rdquo; programme, with funding provided by the Ministry of Culture, the State City of Liep&#257;ja, and the municipalities of South Kurzeme and Kuld&#299;ga.
