To inspire the local community to create a greener, more colourful city, the Foundation “Liepāja 2027” invites all Liepāja residents to take part in the “Liepāja Blossoms” campaign.<\/p>
In honour of the city’s 400th anniversary, this initiative encourages everyone to participate in planting, exchanging seedlings, and other greening activities, bringing life and colour to the urban environment.<\/p>
The campaign launches on Saturday, 8 March, from 10:00 to 14:00 at Liepāja Peter’s Market, where visitors can collect flower seeds and receive practical advice on plant care by stopping at the “Liepāja 2027” stand.<\/p>
Participants are encouraged to plant and nurture the seeds in their own backyards and neighbourhoods or bring their seedlings to the plant exchange event in May.<\/p>
The event will be hosted by Rūta Dvinska, the host of the show Zaļie pirkstiņi.<\/p>
The activity is organized in collaboration with the Liepāja City Municipality institutions, Liepāja Peter’s Market, LUX Express, and the State Forests of Latvia as part of the Forest Days event.
