As part of the “Liepāja – European Capital of Culture 2027” programme, the closing events of the creative residency “Notes on the Margins” will take place in Alsunga, Padure, Nīkrāce, Skrunda and Rudbārži from 25 to 27 September. Five artists will present works created during their residencies in August, inspired by local people’s stories, history, traditions and the surrounding environment.<\/p>

As part of the Autumn Market, visitors will have the opportunity to meet artist Blanca Prieto. During her residency, Blanca explored the history of Rudbārži, the stories and occupations of local people, and the surrounding environment. Inspired by her research and encounters, the artist created a necklace featuring 17 pendants, each dedicated to a particular person, place, event or another story characteristic of Rudbārži.<\/p>
