{"id":15727,"date":"2026-07-24T13:57:54","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T10:57:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/liepaja2027.lv\/?post_type=event&#038;p=15727"},"modified":"2026-07-24T14:04:24","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T11:04:24","slug":"workshop-circular-habits-for-everyday-life-and-events-the-abcs-of-waste-sorting","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/liepaja2027.lv\/en\/events\/workshop-circular-habits-for-everyday-life-and-events-the-abcs-of-waste-sorting\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop: \u201cCircular Habits for Everyday Life and Events: The ABCs of Waste Sorting\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><p>On 3 August 2026, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, a workshop titled &ldquo;Circular Habits for Everyday Life and Events: The ABCs of Waste Sorting&rdquo; will take place at the Liep&#257;ja Youth House (24 Kungu Street, Liep&#257;ja).<\/p><p>During the session, Ieva Erta, Environmental Education Expert at CleanR Group and Za&#316;&#257; josta (Green Belt), will share practical ideas and advice on how to adopt circular, environmentally friendly habits in everyday life and when organising events.<\/p><p>The session is primarily intended for Liep&#257;ja 2027 volunteers and young people, but everyone with an interest in the topic is warmly welcome to attend. Participants will gain a better understanding of the basics of waste sorting, resource efficiency and sustainable solutions that help reduce the environmental impact of events while fostering a more responsible event culture.<\/p><h4>During the session, you will learn:<\/h4><ul>\n<li>how to sort waste correctly and avoid common misconceptions;<\/li>\n<li>practical ways to save resources in everyday life and when organising events;<\/li>\n<li>environmentally friendly solutions for planning more sustainable events.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>Participation is free of charge. Please register in advance by completing <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/rmeqASRFpwaouWc19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the registration form<\/a>.<\/p><p>The lecture is organised by Liep&#257;ja 2027 in collaboration with its principal partner for environmental education and sustainability, CleanR Group.<\/p><p>The &ldquo;(un)rest&rdquo; programme of &ldquo;Liep&#257;ja &ndash; European Capital of Culture 2027&rdquo; is implemented by the Liep&#257;ja 2027 Foundation, with funding allocated by the City of Liep&#257;ja, the South Kurzeme and Kuld&#299;ga municipalities, and the Ministry of Culture.
